Communication and Child Custody
In the very first episode of my podcast, I speak about the best way to communicate with your ex and I'm going to give you that tip, now. Do not speak over the phone with them, at all. It is very important that you keep a record of everything said and promised. Try texting, instead. You don't want to say anything inappropriate, nor do you want to be accused of saying anything inappropriate. Click here to listen to my podcast as of October 3rd, 2022, to hear the full episode on "What is custody?". If you hire an attorney, please have all of your evidence catalogued in a way that is easy to read. If you need help organizing your evidence that service is $275 for 2hours. You will receive a customized timeline as well. Especially, if you are intentionally being kept away from your child, you want to be able to prove this in court. Judges love visual aides.
It may also be possible to record your calls as another means to collect evidence. Beware of recording calls in your state. In certain states, it may be illegal to record calls so proceed with caution. However, a work around may be to write out a transcript of the call to submit for evidence. Whether you are going to court or not, I'd like to call this your A.I.R(agreed insurance recording). When dealing with high stress, simply take in a deep breath. We all need air to breathe, it is our lifeline. Your air can diffuse certain high conflict situations and seemingly clarify other complicating issues. If used correctly, it can discredit your ex and help you to receive favorable outcomes in your court proceedings.
